Trimming/Pruning

Pruning (also known as trimming) is necessary to remove dead, diseased, injured, broken, and crowded limbs. Trees are thinned to allow for the wind and air to flow through. Proper thinning reduces wind resistance for storm related problems.

Removal

Removing the tree is necessary when the tree is dead, seriously diseased and/or damaged, or is an endangerment to surrounding property. When a tree is removed, it is usually desirable to also remove the stump.

Stump Removal

Stump removal is the process of grinding the remaining stump into small chips below the surface of the ground. A specialized piece of equipment, called a stump grinder, is used to accomplish this task.

Hillside Clearing

Hillside clearing is a process of reducing the fire hazards associated with a lot of dense growth on a hillside and/or around your home. Sometimes this process is mandated by the local fire authorities. Our services comply with their requirements.

Brush Chipping

Brush chipping is an environmentally friendly way of disposing of the debris created during the course of the job. A specialized piece of equipment is used that chops all leaves and small branches into wood mulch that is then recycled.

Clean-up

We pick up and haul away all debris created in the course of the job. If desired, we will leave firewood for you, but that is your choice. Stacking the firewood for you is done for an extra charge and only upon request before the job begins.

Topping is not the same as pruning. Topping is a very harmful procedure used by some to reduce tree height and eventually leads to sucker growth.

Sucker growth is defined as a shoot from the roots or lower part of the stem of a plant. Sucker growth can cause internal rot and leads to an unhealthy tree.
